NOTE: This Schedule is subject to significant changes up to January 14, 2016. After that point, minor adjustments may be made, and always no later than 24 hours prior to the altered class. 

Class meetings are in Thursday from 1:30 to 4:30, beginning in Carnegie 311 and progressing to the photo labs. There will be occasions when class meeting locations are elsewhere – please check the following schedule on the morning of each meeting for up-to-date location announcements. Only exceptions to the normal times will be noted below in bold.

Thursday JAN 14

TOOLS & METHODS

Sheet Film Processing and Development Controls: practise processing with test sheets of films. Then process pre-exposed sheets with Normal – 20%, Normal and Normal +20 % development as described in the previous day’s demonstration. This will take approximately 8 hours over several days.

Demonstration of contact printing and printing controls: exposure (intensity and duration), development (agitation, ingredients, time and temperature), fixing, washing and drying.

Contact Printing, Exposure, Contrast and Development Controls: Make two sets of five prints, as described for Assignment 2, and demonstrated suring today’s class. This will take approximately 8 hours over several days. Due: 8:00 AM, February 11
