The debut issue of this fine art magazine, eyeful, created and produced
from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, aims to establish
a foundation for communities-wide dialogues that will be lasting; a
foundation upon which these dialogues will grow and evolve with new
generations of art, artists, and writers; one that will transcend what we
know about art and begin to explore what we think, what we wonder, and what
we are hoping to find out about this deeply and intensely explored world
to which many of us find ourselves fused. The possibility of becoming
connected with one another across the country and perhaps even around the
world is one we hope to make possible for all our readers. We hope you
will become submersed in this process, involve yourselves, include your
thoughts and your work so we can truly evolve – from the editors of eyefull
